Ottumwa Public Library’s Reminisce Society presents So Much Sky: Essays on the Fun & Folly of Living in the Country

For our September program the OPL’s Reminisce Society is pleased to have author, Karen Weir-Jimerson present at the upcoming Reminisce program, Tuesday, September 23, at 10:00 a.m. in the library’s meeting room.

Karen Weir-Jimerson is the author of eight books about gardening including Better Homes and Gardens Herb Gardening, From Garden to Plate, and Better Homes and Gardens Gardening Made Easy.

Former “Slow Lane” columnist for Country Home magazine, Karen currently writes a column for Country Gardens magazine. Additionally she has published articles in Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle, Midwest Living, Horticulture, Creative Home, and many more magazines.

Karen and her husband Doug share a history of raising personable boys, dogs, horses, sheep, donkeys, chickens, doves, canaries, innumerable six-toed kittens and koi, plus a perennial cast of plants including flowers and foliage, herbs, vegetables, shrubs, fruit trees, and more.
