The Reminisce Society presents...
"This Place Matters"
Ottumwa has many buildings with histories unique
to them. In Ottumwa's downtown area, many have had their
significance acknowledged through the National Register of Historic Places. Architectural historian Molly Naumann will share some
of these histories and which ones are on the registry when she returns to the
Reminisce Society to present her program “This Place Matters” at the Ottumwa
Public Library on Tuesday, February 24th, at 10:00 a.m.
As an architectural historian, Naumann travels the
state, assisting communities and individuals with evaluation of historic
structures and nominations to the National Historic Register, as well as
educating adults and children alike about the remarkable buildings in their neighborhoods.
Reminisce programs are free and open to the
public, and are especially for those interested in Iowa and local history. For
further information, please contact the Sonja Ferrell at the Ottumwa Public
Library, 641-682-7563, extension 202.
