Name and Age:  Andrea F., 13 years old
Book Title: Codename Zero
Author: Chris Ryander
Star Rating: 3 ½ out of 5 stars
Review: It is funny. In the first place, it has spies and has everything a kid wants in a book. It is beyond normal than other books.

Name and Age: Lauren D., 14 years old
Book Title: Absolutely Truly
Author: Heather Vogel Fredrick
Star Rating: 3/5 stars
Review: This book was not super well written, but I still enjoyed the story

Name and Age: Madison B., 16 years old
Book Title: Hamilton and Peggy!
Author: L.M. Elliott
Star Rating: 5/5 stars
Review: This book is one of my favorite books ever. I love how the book feels like it came right from the 1700’s. Also, I love how it is told from Peggy’s perspective and how awesome Peggy is.

Name and Age: Bridgette R., 15 years old
Book Title: Attack on Titan vol. 21
Author: Hajime Isayama
Star Rating: 5/5 stars

Name and Age: Makenzie F., 14 years old
Book Title: Nightjohn
Author: Gary Paulsen
Star Rating: 4/5 stars
Review: I think this book deserves four stars because it showed me how brutally slaves were treated in the time of slavery. It also showed me that it was illegal for slaves to read or write but Nightjohn taught other slaves and was sold.

Name and Age: Melanie F., 16 years old
Book Title: IT
Author: Stephen King
Star Rating: 4/5 stars
Review: This book gets four stars because it told me in more detail and more facts than the movie did because after I read the book, I watched the movie. I was very happy that I watched it after because it made it easier to follow the movie.

Name and Age: Andrea F., 13 years old
Book Title: The Boys in the Boat
Author: Daniel James Brown
Star Rating: 5/5 stars
Review: This book was inspiring to me. I never knew that there was such a book that could be anxious, serious, exciting, and sad at the same time.

Name and Age:  Madison B., 16 years old
Book Title: Death Note Book 1
Author: Tsugumi Ohba
Star Rating: 5/5 stars
Review: The plot and story line of the book is amazing. I love the art and how dramatic the colors stand out from each other. The characters have so much depth and different points of views about right and wrong. I love this book!

Name and Age: Melanie F., 16 years old
Book Title: What We Left Behind
Author: Robin Talley
Star Rating: 3/5 stars
Review: When I first started to read this book, I was unsure if I wanted to continue it but I did and I did not like how it ended but I’m glad I did.

Name and Age: Makenzie F., 14 years old
Book Title: Animal Farm
Author: George Orwell
Star Rating: 5/5 stars
Review: I give this book a 5 because I love animals and in this book, the animals step up and take over the farm like Napoleon and Snowball (pigs), then the rest of the animals discover that their time is coming to the end and that makes me sad.

Name and Age:  Leah C., 15 years old
Book Title: Coffee with Michelangelo
Author: James Hall

Review: Interesting, but the content left some to be desired.

Name and Age: Leah C., 15 years old
Book Title: Mere Christianity
Author: C.S. Lewis
Star Rating: 5/5 stars
Review: Really interesting. Informative and easy to understand (if read slowly).

Name and Age: Mercedes M., 16 years old
Book Title: The Truth About Forever
Author: Sarah Dessen
Star Rating: 4 ½ out of 5 stars
Review: At first I didn’t think I would like this book but it turned out better than I thought. I encourage people who love romance and discovering yourself. In the end, it teaches people you don’t have to be perfect, but just be yourself, always.

Name and Age: Janelle E., 14 years old
Book Title: Holding up the Universe
Author: Jennifer Niven
Star Rating: 5/5 stars
Review: I would give this book 5 stars because it lets you see life in 2 perspectives. In Jack’s part, you get to learn more about face blindness and in Libby’s part, you get to learn more about her.

Name and Age: Jaydin B., 16 years old
Book Title: Nancy Drew and The Mystery of the 99 Steps
Author: Carolyn Keene
Star Rating: 3/5 stars
Review: It was a good mystery novel with many twists and turns but in the end, I don’t really feel it was one of my favorite books I have read. It was a bit dull and at times cheesy.

Name and Age: Lauren D., 14 years old
Book Title: All the Wrong Questions
Author: Lemony Snicket
Star Rating: 5/5 stars
Review: I give this book 5 stars because there was always something new and unexpected happening that connected to the mystery that was being solved. This book definitely made me think hard.

Name and Age: Sarah E., 14 years old
Book Title: Secrets of Truth and Beauty
Author: Megan Frazer
Star Rating: 1/5 stars
Review: Only some parts of the book really kept me entertained, the rest was kind of boring in my opinion.

Name and Age: Victoria S., 13 years old
